THE PHYTOCOSMETICS

Phytocosmetics is the branch of cosmetics that uses mainly plant-based products: oils, butters, waxes and plant extracts in general such as infusions, decoctions, tinctures, dry extracts, and essential oils.

But it also employs substances which become viable with new technologies because they can be obtained through biotechnologies (with the help of bacteria able to catabolize certain substances which were previously obtainable only through extraction from animals) such as hyaluronic acid or xanthan gum which is very useful as a substitute for other synthetic gels.
Honey, beeswax, propolis, bee pollen, and snail slime which is extracted without sacrificing the snails.
Some ingredients on the other hand are derived from minerals such a clays (green, white, Rhassoul) or oxides such as zinc or titanium.

HANDCRAFTED AND SUSTAINABLE

Each of our products is handcrafted in small batches, which means that all our treatments are low storage and are always fresh. We are proud to be an Italian comany, to have a small workshop in Rome, at the heart of history, culture and aesthetics. Each order is overseen by our staff and is followed carefully and with passion.

Our bottles and packaging have been designed to best preserve the natural properties of our products. In fact, a good product must have a solid. casing. In this way the purity of our ingredients does not become contaminated by the air, by light or by surrounding chemical products, and they stay as strong and pure as when they were created. For this reason we have opted for PET, the most recyclable plastic, and for dark rather than clear glass. We respect nature because it is precisely from there that the primary materials for all our treatments come. Natural substances have a smaller environmental impact by comparison with synthesised ones, in other words they are more biodegradable. Having said this, it is worth underlining that the quantity of any product determines the negative impact it has upon the environment. It is important, therefore, for the consumer to use cosmetics conscientiously: to choose the most natural products, without using too much at a time (shampoo and shower gel are often used in excess), and to consider the packaging when

buying so that it is easy to differentiate between the various materials when recycling, and it is for this reason that we choose non-plasticized paper packaging which has less impact on the environment.

NATURE ORGANIC BEAUTY

NATURE studies, formulates and produces cosmetics and natural remedies made in Italy.
Each of our products is made with raw materials derived from organic farming or harvested spontaneously away from sources of pollution. None of our products contains chemical or petroleum synthesis derivatives, parabens or silicones, SLS or SLES. All our fragrances are carefully chosen among the most tolerated. The colors used are all vegetable, as well as the preservative systems that are naturally derived. None of our products is tested on animals.

FREE FROM PARABENS AND MINERAL OILS
• VEGAN* • NO TESTED ON ANIMALS • 100% NATURAL ORIGIN

* All products are Vegans except those containing: propolis, pollen, honey, beeswax, snail slime, the only animal materials we use.

100% NATURAL & ORGANIC

All our products are 100% natural.

Cosmetics that can be considered 100% natural are subject to very strict rules and must of course take account of current laws on the production and packaging of cosmetics. We use only plant and mineral ingredients. The only animal-based ingredients and principles we use are pollen, honey, beeswax and products that do not cause suffering to animals.

All our preservatives and antioxidants are natural. In fact we use essential oils, plant glycerine, and unmodified oils with vitamins A and E. Plants offer us excellent eudermic substances able to care for the skin, preventing premature ageing, defending the skin from irritation, giving back the elasticity and turgidity that has been lost, deodorizing the body and often toning the spirit with sweet and fragrant scents. In Italy, as in many other cultures, the use of plants to treat the body and the mind reaches back to ancient traditions that have inspired recent scientific research, which has confirmed its effectiveness. This ongoing research must take account not only of chemistry and formulation techniques, but also of dermatology, ecology and above all of herbal medicine. It is important to read the label, without allowing yourself to be influenced by the images that surround the content. It is our hope that ever more people today will acquire this knowledge.
